The aim of ‘weusemaths.ie’ is to provide a starting point for young people in Ireland whom are curious to see where the study and use of mathematics can bring them. Through showcasing career profiles of those across various employment sectors, students will learn of the various career possibilities open to them.
- One will discover and learn how people use mathematics in their career and what type of mathematics they use.
- One will see how our mathematics curriculum provide the foundation for these careers.
- One will explore what career pathway one can take to achieve the career one wishes.
‘weusemaths.ie’ is coordinated by Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies in collaboration with Science Foundation Ireland’s ‘Smart Futures’ team and also in partnership with the Institute of Guidance Councillors, University College Dublin and the National University of Ireland Galway.
